How many times have you wanted to know a fact about Mountainair’s past but did not know where to look for information?
If you are interested in preserving Mountainair’s history, please donate historical stories, old photographs, newspaper articles and local history books to the Resource Room at the Manzano Mountain Art Council building on Broadway Street in Mountainair. The Resource Room will be a location where the public can research family history, events in Mountainair’s past or merely read about the town’s history.
The Resource Room also houses the Torrance County Archaeology Society’s extensive collection of information, sites and history from 10,000 years ago to the present.
